The Hosiery Park has been positioned and planned to redefine the industry and enable it be at par with the best global standards. Each and every aspect of the Hosiery Park is being benchmarked with best in the world to ensure that the required infrastructural environment is provided to the industry.

This is the first Hosiery Park in India, set on 125acres of land and all major players of the industry have booked large plots. Separate sections have been allocated for the related services like knitting, printing, embroidery and stitching units. A 2,00,000 sq.ft. Standard design Factory will also enable small and medium entrepreneurs to establish their units in the Park.

The hosiery Park is being set up by the West Bengal Hosiery Association with state-of-the-art facilities. A SPV has been set up for this purpose and the West Bengal Small Industries Development Corporation is a joint venture partner. The Ministry of Textiles, Government of India is providing a grant through its Scheme of Integrated Textiles Park.

COMMON FACILITIES

The Park is being built on “Industry Cluster” concept and as per requirements as approved under GoI Ministry of Textile’s Scheme of Integrated Textile Park. The main Common facilities being provided are as under:

  • Common Facility Building and Standard Design Building.
  • Three overhead Water Reservoir.
  • Electrical switching Station and Transformer yard.
  • A truck Parking area with Toilet and canteen facilities.
  • A fire Station.
  • Sewerage Treatment Plant of 480 LLD is planned to be set up in the Park..
  • Storm Water Storage Reservoir.
  • Power: Peak Power requirement estimated at 12 MVA, building up over time. A DG back up of 480 KVA for running common services. The use of solar power will also be explored.
  • Peak water requirement is estimated at 1000 KLD. There will be three bore wells connected to water treatment plant.

The 125 acre selected land, is located at Mouza – Jagadishpur and Jaipurbill, P.S.: Liluah in Howrah District in West Bengal. The proposed land is located on the National Highway 16 & National Highway 19 Connector.
